Dermaplaning

Sometimes it can be hard to know what treatment is best for you, let us help you. Just book a free ten minute assessment in person in our clinic over Facetime or Zoom or just over the phone. We will help you choose the right treatment, at the right price point for you. There is no upselling – we will simply help you book the treatment that will be the most effective for you – we want you to be happy and we want you to recommend us!

We always recommend that you begin every aesthetic treatment with a Cavello Maintenance Facial, a relaxing skin refresh which ensures you have the best canvas for your aesthetic treatment. However, sometimes time is of the essence for our clients, so the facial is optional.

Pre-Aesthetic Facial

Dermaplaning Facial

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a brightening treatment carried out at Cavello using a medical scalpel to remove dead skin cells and vellus (peach fuzz) from the skin. This can have exceptionally pleasing results, revealing fresh, luminous and youthful skin.

Who is it for?
Especially suitable for dry, flaky or skin affected by excess facial hair – often caused by aging or hormonal changes (especially PCOS). The treatment softens fine lines and wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. It’s also used to treat deep acne scars.

What’s the process?

First the skin is cleansed and toned, with any extraction necessary. Then the dermaplaning procedure is your where your practitioner will gently scrape away debris and vellus using a medical scalpel. Then the skin will be cleaned, a treatment mask applied and then removed, finishing with layers of vitamin serum and moisturiser.

Time

60 minutes

Cost

£110

How long do the effects last?

Dermaplaning will last around 4 weeks depending on your skin type, and shouldn’t be performed more often than this.

Treatment aftercare
We recommend you don’t wear make up for the evening following your treatment. Your skin may be reddened and sensitive.

Wear sunscreen for a week following treatment and avoid sunbeds (avoid sunbeds anyway – there’s no quicker way to age your face).
There’s no downtime needed to let your skin heal. We recommend using a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 and a moisturiser afterwards as your skin may be more sensitive.

Million Dollar Facial

What is the Million Dollar Facial?

Famously developed in LA and a celebrity favourite, the million dollar facial lives up to its name. The ultimate facial for glow, anti ageing and volume. It’s the closest thing to a face lift without going under the knife. What makes the Million Dollar Facial so effective is its combination of treatments at once enabling the skin to benefit fully from each procedure.

Anyone can have a Million Dollar Facial but it is most effective on those with signs of ageing. This miraculous treatment softens fine lines and wrinkles, plumps the skin and reduces hyperpigmentation.

What’s the process?

First the skin is thoroughly cleansed and exfoliated, with any extraction necessary. Then a full dermaplaning procedure scrapes away debris and vellus using a medical scalpel. Microblading

What is microblading?

Microblading is the gentle etching of semi permanent hair strokes into your eyebrows to add depth and texture. Not only is it extremely practical not having to draw in your eyebrows with your make up but it is also a very anti ageing treatment. Eyebrows tend to thin and sag with age, so this treatment frames and lifts the face.

Who is it for?

Everyone. Whether your brows aren’t as thick or shaped as you’d prefer or if you’ve lost them altogether due to chemotherapy or alopecia as long as your skin is undamaged, microblading or microshading can have transformative effects.

What’s the process?

A thorough cleanse of the brow area, then the application of numbing cream. Once the numbing cream has taken effect, delicate hair strokes are etched into the skin using a manual needling tool. If thickening is desired microshading can also be used with a microshading tool.

Time

Ist appointment 2.5hrs

2nd appointment 1.5 hrs

Cost

£400
1st appointment £200
2nd appointment 5 weeks later £200

How long do the effects last?

A top up will be required after 5 weeks, the cost of which is included in the price, but then the effects can last over a year

Preparing for your treatment

If you’re taking isotretinoin, a prescription medication used to treat severe acne, you should wait 6 months after you stop taking it to have microblading. Microblading cannot be performed on skin affected by, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema or sunburn. As with any aesthetics treatment, it is best to avoid alcohol the night before your treatment and caffeine on the day of your treatment. Both caffeine and alcohol can cause bleeding and bruising and may reduce the efficacy of the treatment.

Treatment aftercare

We recommend the dry heal method. You will be given a small bar of mild cleanser. Gently wash your brows with it twice a day for 7 days making sure to not touch the brows in between. Brows will darken and scab slightly as they heal, but after around 10 days your new beautiful brows will be revealed.

Areola Reconstruction

What is Areola Reconstruction?

Areola reconstruction is the freehand application of semi permanent make up using a gentle needling machine that implants the ink under the skin. The treatment can have a dramatic effect on the client’s body confidence that has often been damaged by illness and surgery. Cavello is extremely proud to offer this transformative treatment.

Who is it for?

Usually this treatment is undertaken by mastectomy patients who have had their nipples removed during surgery for breast cancer. However some people are simply unhappy with the shape and colour of their areolas, and this treatment is also suitable for them. It is imperative that if you are having reconstructive areola treatment that you have no red or raised scars where the nipple will be and that you are 6 months post surgery and treatment.

What’s the process?

Semi permanent make up of varying colours to suit your skin tone is implanted under your skin using a gentle needling machine. The nipple and areola are artiscally created freehand creating the illusion of depth and a natural 3D nipple. It is a highly skilled treatment for which our practitioners undergo extensive training.

Time

3-4 hours per treatment

Cost

The treatment cost varies between £120-£450 as patients often have quite diverse requirements. A top up is included in the price and a £50 reduction comes from every MacMillan referral.

How long do the effects last?

A top up will be required after a month, the cost of which is included in the price, but then the effects can last between two years to several decades depending on your skin.

Preparing for your treatment

Before your treatment wash your chest with antibacterial soap.

Gently wash the treated area with it twice a day for 7 days making sure to not touch the treated areas in between and to keep them covered with cotton or microfibre pads. The treated area will darken and scab slightly as it heals, but after around 10 days your new nipples will have healed fully.

Anti wrinkle injections

What are Anti wrinkle injections?

Commonly known by the brand name Botox, anti wrinkle injections contain the toxin Botulinum toxin which is injected into the upper layers of the dermis to gently paralyse the muscles that cause lines and wrinkles in the face.

Who is it for?

Botox is suitable for those aged 23 – 70. Although Botox is very effective at preventing lines and wrinkles it is really not usually necessary for those under 25 unless lines are already very pronounced. Once over 70 the lines will be too embedded within the skin for Botox to have an effect, in this instance we will usually recommend Profhilo or dermal fillers instead.

What’s the process?

Botox is quick, simple and virtually painless. It can be performed in three areas on the top half of the face: in between the eyebrows for frown lines, on the outside corners of the eyes for crow's feet and across the centre of the forehead for forehead lines. The cost is per area required, but if we do not believe Botox will be effective for you we may refuse treatment.

Time

30 minutes

Cost

£190 per area

How long do the effects last?

The Botox will start to take effect after around 3 days and will be effective for 3-6 months.

Notes

Any anti-wrinkle toxins are only available with a prescription from a prescribing pharmacist. This is to ensure there are no medical contraindications that might make this treatment unsuitable for you. We will arrange your prescription for you before your first appointment.

Preparing for your treatment

Botox cannot be performed on skin affected by, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema or sunburn. As with any aesthetics treatment, it is best to avoid alcohol the night before your treatment and caffeine on the day of your treatment. Both caffeine and alcohol can cause bleeding and bruising and may reduce the efficacy of the treatment.

Treatment aftercare

It is important not to touch or apply anything to the skin for at least 12 hours post treatment to minimise risk of infection. We recommend you don’t wear make up for the evening following your treatment. Your skin may be reddened and sensitive.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Profhilo

Profhilo skin enhancement for face

What is Profhilo skin enhancement?

Profhilo is a brand name of a hyrolonic acid serum which is injected under the skin to plump and smooth lines and wrinkles.

Who is it for?

Profhilo is suitable for those aged 35 – 85. Profhilo is very effective at smoothing lines and wrinkles but it isn’t preventative. If you are keen to prevent lines and wrinkles and are aged between 23 and 70 you may prefer to look at anti-wrinkle injections instead.

Profhilo is extremely effective at smoothing general lines and wrinkles but cannot smooth deep ‘naso-labial lines’ between the nose and lips or ‘marionette lines’ between the corners of the mouth down to the jaw. For these areas we recommend dermal fillers instead.

What’s the process?

Profhilo is a quick, simple process of five injections into the skin either side of the face. The product can be sore as it is injected into your skin, this discomfort isn’t caused by the needle itself as the top layer of the skin is numbed beforehand, but by the numbing agent within the product. However, the numbing agent itself doesn’t take long to take effect and after just 5 or 10 minutes you will feel virtually nothing. The effects are almost immediate.

Time

30 minutes

Cost

£600 first course of 2, then £290 per 6 monthly maintenance treatment

How long do the effects last?

Profhilo requires a top up treatment after one month and then can be simply maintained with a treatment every 6 months.

Preparing for your treatment

Profhilo cannot be performed on skin affected by, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema or sunburn.

Your skin may be reddened and sensitive

Wear sunscreen for a week following treatment and avoid sunbeds (avoid sunbeds anyway – there’s no quicker way to age your face).
There’s no downtime needed to let your skin heal. We recommend using a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 and a moisturiser afterwards. That’s because your skin may be more sensitive.

Lip fillers

What are lip fillers?

Lip filler is a treatment where thick hyrolonic acid serum is injected into the lips to add volume.

Who is it for?

Lip fillers are suitable for anyone unhappy with their lip volume. However, we believe less is more and so rather than charging per ml as is common for lip fillers, we simply charge a set price for however much we believe your lips need to look naturally voluminous. A second treatment can be performed at a later date if required.

What’s the process?

Lip filler treatment is quite a short treatment but it can be uncomfortable as it is injected into your skin, this discomfort isn’t caused by the needle itself as the top layer of the skin is numbed beforehand, but by the numbing agent within the filler. However the numbing agent doesn’t take long to take effect and after just 5 or 10 minutes you will feel virtually nothing. The effects are immediate.

Time

30 minutes

Cost

£260 per session. Between 0.5ml and 1ml will be used to create a natural effect.

How long do the effects last?

Lip filler should last a minimum of 6 months and then can be simply topped up when necessary.

Preparing for your treatment

Lip fillers cannot be performed on skin affected by coldsores, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema or sunburn.

Your skin may be reddened and sensitive

Wear sunscreen for a week following treatment and avoid sunbeds (avoid sunbeds anyway – there’s no quicker way to age your face).
There’s no downtime needed to let your skin heal. We recommend using a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 and a moisturiser afterward. That’s because your skin may be more sensitive.

Lip Fillers

Dermal fillers

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal filler is a treatment where thick hyrolonic acid serum is injected into strong facial lines to plump skin and reduce the signs of ageing.

Who is it for?

Usually performed on those aged between 30-80, dermal fillers are extremely effective at smoothing deep ‘naso-labial lines’ between the nose and lips or ‘marionette lines’ between the corners of the mouth down to the jaw. If you are keen to have a more overall effect across the face, Profhilo will be more effective. If you are keen to prevent lines and wrinkles and are aged between 23 and 70 anti-wrinkle injections may be a better treatment for you.

What’s the process?

Dermal filler treatment is quite a short treatment but it can be slightly uncomfortable as it is injected into your skin, this discomfort isn’t caused by the needle itself as the top layer of the skin is numbed beforehand, but by the numbing agent within the product. However the numbing agent within the filler itself doesn’t take long to take effect and after just 5 or 10 minutes you will feel virtually nothing. The effects are immediate.

Time

30 minutes

Cost

£260 per session. Usually 1ml across each side of the mouth will be used to create a natural effect.

How long do the effects last?

Dermal filler should last a minimum of 6 months and then can be simply topped up when necessary.

Preparing for your treatment

Dermal fillers cannot be performed on skin affected by coldsores, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema or sunburn.

Vitamin B12 injections

What are Vitamin B12 injections?

Lack of vitamin B12 is often to blame for fatigue and therefore is offered to many on the NHS. If you need a boost, this is the ideal treatment.

Who is it for?

Anyone experiencing fatigue. The amount administered is not a dangerous quantity.

What’s the process?

Just like a vaccine, the injection of B12 is administered into the thick muscle at the top of the arm. It is virtually painless.

Time

10 minutes

Cost

£45

How long do the effects last?

This totally varies from person to person but injections should not be more frequent than every two weeks.

Preparing for your treatment

Vitamin injections cannot be performed on skin affected by psoriasis, eczema or sunburn. As with any aesthetics treatment, it is best to avoid alcohol the night before your treatment and caffeine on the day of your treatment. Both caffeine and alcohol can cause bleeding and bruising and may reduce the efficacy of the treatment.

Treatment aftercare

It is important not to touch or apply anything to that area of the skin for at least 12 hours post treatment to minimise risk of infection.
